Event Details

The aim of this half-day workshop is to bring together clinicians, researchers and other stakeholders to explore the possibilities of video recording clinical care for health services research and quality improvement. Drawing on our collective experiences we will explore its actual and potential use in a range of settings (ICU, operating theatre, consultation room) and identify different methodologies and approaches, highlighting both possibilities and challenges in working with video. Central to the discussion will be the question of how clinicians and patients might benefit from video based research and improvement activities, what concerns people might have, and how they might be addressed. Speakers include Fiona Stevenson, Ruth Parry, Margarita Burmester, Tanika Kelay, David Lowe, Rick Iedema, Mary Wyer, Suyin Hor, Alex Cope and Jeff Bezemer. Registration is free but places are limited. Lunch is not included.
