Star baker Chris Payne is joining the team – the winner of the 2019 Norfolk Home Chef of the Year competition.

About this Event

We’ve got a “new starter” at The Richard Hughes Cookery School: quite literally! Star baker Chris Payne is joining the team – the winner of the 2019 Norfolk Home Chef of the Year competition is an incredible baker and the King of Norfolk Sourdough. We know that lots of you have been practicing during lockdown, so perfect your technique with an expert: follow Chris on Instagram @Itboywhobakes to see what Chris can create!

In this class master the art of viennoiserie, the buttery French pastries that are the envy of the world! Croissant, pain au chocolat, pain aux raisin, breakfast Danish, there’ll be bags to take home!

Students are given expert tuition and recipe sheets with step-by-step instructions as they cook at their own work stations on a central aisle. Once the hard work is over, it’s the team’s turn to cook and serve you afternoon tea, as you relax and reflect with your fellow students.  

You then get to take all the fruits of your labour home to share with loved ones (after all, the proof is in the pudding. Or the starter. Or the main course…!).
