Views from the frontline: How can we improve hospital care?
Wed 3 May 2017, 08:00 – 09:45 BST
About this event
During this stakeholder breakfast event, we'll discuss the reality of front line care in the NHS and how it can be improved.
The event will see the launch of a new publication from The King's Fund, which brings together viewpoints on the challenges of delivering front line care in hospitals and the experience of patients in today's NHS.
We will explore some of the issues raised in the report and discuss questions such as:
Who is responsible for improving front line care?
Why do some patients experience poor care even in outstanding hospitals?
Are we complacent about the standards of front line care in today's NHS?
Are the pressures on junior doctors and other front line staff too great?
Professor Jane Dacre, President of the Royal College of Physicians
Professor Sir Mike Richards, Chief Inspector of Hospitals, Care Quality Commission
Michael Wise, giving a patient’s perspective.
