An Armageddon workout is fun, addictive and certainly creates a sweat! However there is much more to this workout and if your goal is weight loss then adding an Armageddon session could just be your key to success.
An Armageddon workout is based on Variable Intensity Interval Training (VIIT), using a combination of high, medium and low intensity exercises. This works your heart rate between 30% and 90% of its maximum rate.
The result is that you are carrying out a fast paced, intense exercise over a shorter period of time. In just 30 minutes you can burn up to 590 calories. This compares favourably to more steady state, longer duration cardiovascular exercises, such as walking, jogging, or using the elliptical trainer. An hour doing these only burns approximately 292 calories.
So, you can achieve more in half the time..........................
