Glaucoma Masterclass is back! And it will be on "Advanced Trabeculectomy Skills"! Prof Peter Shah (UK), who was the key person in the inception of Glaucoma Masterclass, will be leading a faculty of experts to share their pearls with you.

This year, we have a special guest lecturer, Professor Graham Lee, a glaucoma and anterior segment specialist from Australia, who will be giving the keynote lecture on "Adverse Bleb Morphology."




Here are the topics that will be covered. The programme will be out soon!

  • Pre-operative: risk stratification, optimising ocular surface

  • Intra-operative strategies to optimise outcome and minimise complications in difficult cases e.g. very thin conjunctiva and Tenon, thin sclera, anomalous superior rectus insertion, intra-operative scleral collapse and bleeding tendencies.

  • Post-operative problems and how to manage them, e.g. overdrainage, refractory choroidal detachment, macular folds, malignant glaucoma and "mega" bleb

Rapid fire topics:

  • Wipe-put

  • Malignant glaucoma / aqueous misdirection

  • Uveal effusion syndrome / nanophthalmos

  • Hypotony maculopathy

  • Bleb dysthaesia

  • Toxic anterior segment syndrome
