Description

Village Voices

Village Voices is a reminiscence group where people have the opportunity to come together and share their memories and stories of their community and life. It helps people understand the social history of their communities and allows them to share experiences, photos, films and writing. This programme will give people the opportunity to developing skills in : IT, literacy, recording data, and writing transcripts.

In Newtongrange, there is an existing reminiscence group that runs in the evening, there was felt to be a need for a daytime group due to community members not feeling comfortable coming out in the evening. In consultation with community members, many felt that particularly during autumn and winter, morning sessions would be more accessible.

Course Starts 25/9/2017 for 10 weeks

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

ID is required if you have booked a discounted rate ticket. We will need proof of age or proof of receipt on benefits.

There is not set minimum age to attend our classes - but anyone must be able to fully engage with the content of the class and we recommend children under 16 only attend classes when they are coming with an adult who is also taking part in the class.

What's the refund policy?

Refunds are available up to 1 week before the start of the programme.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

It is useful to have EITHER an e ticket or a print out to confirm a place, but we will have a full list of the people who have booked and paid, so any form of ID will ususally suffice.

Can I update my registration information?

Yes, you are free to change your information, however if your booking ends up changing price, please contact us for help.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Yes, but please contact us if the person you want to transfer your booking to is not in the same price bracket as you are.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Please contact us before the class to arrange a ticket transfer.
