Violence against women and girls is a global pandemic. In many countries there is a culture of impunity for those who carry out this kind of violence. It is seen as normal, acceptable, and even Christian churches very often hide, tolerate, perpetuate and even practice violence against women’ – Kathy Galloway writing for Side by Side.
