Viral Verses: Poems, Pictures, and Performance
Date and time
Poetry and music in performance, art, and a presentation of money raised by the book Viral Verses for NHS Charities Together
About this event
In 2020 the University of York's School of Business and Society and the Department of English and Related Literature combined with local poets, artists and invited guest contributors to create a remarkable book - Viral Verses: Art in Exceptional Times - in aid of NHS Charities Together. On Friday May 20th 2022, York's newly renovated 15th century Guildhall invites the public to join us in marking this achievement as we hand over £3500 to the NHS Charities and several of the contributors - poets, artists and musicians - perform their work.
Contributors include MC David Driver, Joe Solo, Heath Common, Jessie Summerhayes and the Cider House Rebellion, Lynda Rose Morgan, John Law, Stephen Linstead, Paul Thwaites, Ellen Waters, Amber Hawkins, Laura Potts, Rachel Feldberg, Roseanna Kettle, David Weir and video contributions from Ian McMIllan and others.
Tickets are FREE to the general public but limited!
