How To Fund Your Business

When funding your business, there are many different routes to go down and different things to consider. If you are unsure of what options are available to you this event is for you.

The fact is 2017 is the best time there has ever been to start your own business. You can do it faster than ever, for as cheap as ever with more support around to help you than ever before.

Olly Bolton - Co-Founder of What A Melon, Solution Sciences

Oliver Bolton and his co-founder Tom Procter developed the Alibi drink range three years ago, and have enjoyed great success with the product findings its way to the shelves of stores like Waitrose.

Hot on the heels of their success they created a new drink, in fact, it's Europe’s first watermelon water called "What A Melon", made from watermelon juice, a splash of spring water and a squeeze of lemon. In 2016 they walked away with the Virgin Media Business’ VOOM 2016 Crowdfunder award and a huge £112,000.

Since their Crowdfunding success, What A Melon is now stocked in nationwide shops, including Holland and Barrat, Wholefoods, Planet Organic, Nuffield Wellness Centers, and Sainsbury’s.

Alice Holden and Fleurette Mulcahy, co-founders, Attollo Lingerie

ATTOLLO is the new name in lingerie, that specifically helps to shape and flatter D+ women with cup size 28D-34GG women. Launched on 1st September 2017, the company, founded by D+ friends Alice Holden and Fleurette Mulcahy, offers a fabulous range of mix and match bras and knickers, available online from attollolingerie.com. Since launch, they've generated £15,000 in registrations.

Guy Hacking - Co-Founder of TRIBE

Guy Hacking and his co-founders Tom Stanclifee and Rob Martineau started TRIBE after a 1,000 mile run they completed from Ukraine to Croatia to fight human trafficking. Emboldened by the power of community and frustrated by the refined, high sugar sports nutrition on offer they started on the journey to build TRIBE, a modern sports nutrition brand that delivers personalized sports nutrition designed for the everyday athlete.

After very fast revenue and subscriber growth through their online platform and a successful crowdfunding round, they are now about to bring TRIBE to the mass market through a retail offering. Launching in Planet Organic this month they are on a mission to meet the nation's performance nutrition needs with their wide ranging high-quality natural performance products.
