Our Taster Lessons are live events that give you the opportunity to meet our expert teachers and see what teaching and learning is like at our ground-breaking online school. Our English Teacher, Ms Philippa Ronan, will lead an interactive lesson that will give you an idea of what it’s like to study her subject at GCSE and will offer you the opportunity to ask any questions that you have about English GCSE and/or teaching and learning at Highgrove Online School during our Q&A.
Philippa has over thirty years teaching experience, most recently at Harrow School Online where she taught the English Literature A level. She is an associate lecturer at the University of Cambridge and an English and Literacy expert at secondary level. Philippa is an international school improvement consultant, a former lead Ofsted inspector and an international lead inspector. She has published many books, both non-fiction and fiction, including Aiming for A* and the Essentials of KS4 English, and her latest novel, Apple from the Tree.
