Virtual Heartbreak Evening (EMEA)

As all of us who have suffered from the affliction will know, heartbreak ranks amongst the formative experiences.

Though we may become brave about our loss with time, we perhaps never entirely ‘move on’ from a break-up; our wounds may heal, but scars tend to remain. Considering the strange silence that often surrounds heartbreak, and the cultural predominance of stories of ‘happily-ever-after’, we sorely need a chance to correct the imbalance: to tell tales of agonising departures to others who have gone through similar.

The School of Life invites you to a virtual Heartbreak Evening in which you’ll have a chance to share and hear stories of heartbreak in all its forms, from the pains of unrequited love to the devastation wrought by divorces and affairs, in a uniquely sympathetic and consoling environment. As well as a chance to meet and bond with other members of our community, it’s an opportunity to heal, soothe, and, strangely, celebrate the bittersweet wisdom of our shattered hearts.
