Virtual Introduction to the Cover Supervisor Role (VICSR)

The two-day Virtual workshop introduces key skills and raises awareness of the required qualities and latest standards / expectations for practicing Cover Supervisors. A two day course designed to help new Cover Supervisors without much relevant classroom experience appreciate essential classroom approaches and the strategies to deliver them. The course covers:

Day 1 : Full Safeguarding, Behaviour Management Workshop

Day 2: 1) Safer Working Practices; 2) Cover Supervisor Role, Qualities and Skills; 3) Teaching Hell Webinar and 4) Useful Teaching Strategies. Discussion is encouraged. It is required that Simply Education’s online Safeguarding tutorial has been completed PRIOR to attending the Introduction to Supply Teaching Course.

Summary: The course is designed to be completed BEFORE new CSs with little classroom experience are placed in accordance with compliance guidance.

Note! Please ensure that you VIEW and ACTION the accompanying documents sent separately to this virtual training BEFORE it starts.

*IMPORTANT! You will need to book on to both Day 1 and Day 2 of this course separately and complete them to gain certification. Please ensure that you will have access to a space with a minimum of interruption / distraction for each of the two days of the course.

Continuous Professional Development: As a Simply Education teacher you will have access to the support offered by our dedicated Education Development Managers.

A web-link to a Zoom meeting will be sent to you (after you book on to the training through Eventbrite), along with an email explaining the format of the training,and an attachment to be read beforehand. You will also be sent some worksheets which will be discussed briefly with of our Education Development Managers during the course.

Please check your junk mail folder and if you have not received it by the start of the week in which the training will take place, contact neil.m@simplyeducation.co.uk. If you book late, your invite will be sent just before the course starts. If you have not received it by 9 a.m. on the day of the course, contact neil.m@simplyeducation.co.uk. It is unlikely that a duplicate invite can be sent after the course has started.
