About this event
We’re here for you, join us at our Virtual Business Forum.
Join the South West England and South Wales Area’s Virtual Networking and Business Forum where you will have the opportunity to meet and talk with fellow CIMA members from around the area. This is your opportunity to come together online with your local CIMA community.
This session will provide an opportunity to share expertise, knowledge, wisdom, ideas and experience of people across a range of businesses in a friendly, informal and confidential setting.
The session will be relatively informal, providing you with an opportunity to see a friendly face and speak to a number of different people.
Our Virtual Networking and Business Forums will be held on a bi-monthly basis on a Tuesday evening between 6pm - 7pm. At each session we will focus on a ‘hot topic’, this may include a 20-minute talk by an expert speaker followed by the opportunity to discuss, share experience and knowledge, discuss any problems, and receive advice and guidance.
During this month’s session the hot topic for discussion will be farming / sustainability.
Our guest speaker will be Kate Bell , Partner, Farms and Estates Team, Albert Goodman
Kate moved from her family’s arable farm in Warwickshire in 2009 to join Albert Goodman and begin her career as an accountant, after spending many summers on a tractor. Her professional background is rooted in agriculture and rural business, reflecting her strong commitment to supporting the farming community. Kate enjoys working with farming families of all shapes, sizes, and sectors, helping them plan for the long term with a mix of commercial, business, and strategic tax advice.
Outside the office, Kate supports her husband’s dairy farm, raises their two sons, and is actively involved with Somerset Young Farmers.
We understand the need to provide a safe space where you can feel comfortable in seeking advice from others and have open conversations. As such, we have made the decision to follow Chatham House rules and will be not be recording these sessions, and all participants must refrain from taking screenshots or making their own recording. This is to ensure that everybody at the sessions feel at ease and can be open as they wish to be.
Please do feel free to attend the session with a glass of wine/beer, a tea/coffee, or beverage of your choice.
