About this Event

***U.K. schools only***

What does an engineer look like?

What does an engineer do?

Can I be an engineer?

These are some of the questions we hope to answer during our 20 mins assembly presentation aimed at Year 5 & 6 primary school pupils.

Renishaw is one of the world’s leading engineering and scientific technology companies, with expertise in precision measurement and healthcare. The company supplies products and services used in applications as diverse as jet engine and wind turbine manufacture, through to dentistry and brain surgery. It is also a world leader in the field of additive manufacturing (also referred to as 3D printing), where it designs and makes industrial machines which ‘print’ parts from metal powder.

We are offering primary schools the opportunity to receive a virtual school assembly talk to inspire the next generation of Engineers and Scientists.

What will the assembly include?

  • An introduction to STEM
  • The “what is engineering” video
  • A talk about Renishaw and what we do
  • Fun science experiment
  • Q & A session

Who's the assembly for?
