We are delighted to be invited by Bristol Vision Institute to deliver a talk for their BVI Seminar Series, entitled “Virtual Realities: Immersive Documentary Encounters”, which will be introduced by BVI Director, Professor Dave Bull. Our speakers, Professor Kirsten Cater, Principal Investigator University of Bristol, and Co-Investigators, Professor Danae Stanton Fraser (University of Bath) and Professor Mandy Rose (UWE Bristol) will share findings from the three year EPSRC Virtual Realities: Immersive Documentary Encounters project. There will be an opportunity to ask questions of the speakers at the end.
Funded by the UK EPSRC, Virtual Realities is a collaborative research project examining the application of virtual reality for nonfiction. Researchers from human-computer interaction, psychology and documentary studies have worked with creative industry collaborators to critically examine and support the development of this new production sector.
