Event description

Description

Join us for our latest, free to attend Alumni event! NEBOSH is delighted to partner with Thames Water to showcase its latest health and safety innovations, including virtual reality training. Come along on Thursday 11 October and experience it for yourselves!

The afternoon will demonstrate how technology, including virtual reality is used in health and safety training covering a range of topics from mental health to confined spaces. Just for fun, you will also have the opportunity to complete the Mercedes Drive Experience and, if you are brave enough, you can walk the (virtual) plank!

What’s more, our hosts will be running competitions to win virtual reality mental health equipment and software.

We’ve designed this event to be informative and enjoyable. You will also have the chance to network with Thames Water staff and fellow Alumni over food and soft drinks.

Carol Moore, who leads Thames Water’s training team, said: “We’re always trying to push the boundaries of how we train people. Virtual reality is a great way to really immerse people in what they are learning.”

Spaces are limited. So, if you would like to attend, please book quickly as tickets will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Bookings close Monday 1 October 2018.
