About this event

  • 5 hours

This is a live interactive online course which will be held between 10am and 3pm via MS Teams.

Throughout the day we will extensively look at the Royal College of Podiatry's Record Keeping and Consent Standards. It is an interactive day which will cover:

  • how to write good patient notes
  • the legal requirements surrounding patient notes
  • how to audit your own patient notes
  • consent for treatment
  • facts and figures regarding litigation
  • plus there is a section on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

If you do not comply with the RCPod Clinical Standards then you may leave yourself potentially uninsured and wide open to criticism by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) should an allegation be made against you, or the patient notes will not be defensible in court.

This course is usually over-subscribed so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Who can attend this course:

  • Podiatrists
  • Podiatry students
  • Assistant practitioners
  • Practice managers and administrators

Non-members of the RCPod are welcome to attend the course. Please ensure you select the correct ticket type at checkout as delegates will be checked against our member database.

Please note that you will be required to print off some information prior to joining the course online. MS Teams can be accessed via a web browser or via a free app for your device. The event information will only be received by the email address that is used for booking the event.
