Event description
This archipelago once stood at the centre of a great seafaring empire. The Vikings left their mark giving Orkney a distinct culture.

About this Event

Our virtual tour starts in Kirkwall - a place that stood at the centre of the Viking world linking Scandanavia with Iceland. As we step out of the town we head even further back in time when Neolithic men settled these islands as revealed by the historical sites at Skara Brae, Maeshowe and the Ring of Brodgar.

This is a free virtual tour.
