Overview

Hear the story of London's famous and not so famous Department Stores. Discover which ones are still around and what happened to the others.

==================================================================

London once had dozens of Department Stores and most of them have closed. Let Stephen tell you their story. From the great survivors of Harrods, Selfridges and John Lewis, to the long gone array of stores that once graced many suburban High Streets such as Bearmans, Bon Marche, Pratts, John Barnes, Derry and Toms, John Barker, Cheismans, Arding and Hobbs, Holdrons and F H Rowse, plus a few Co-op Department Stores.

Who knew shops could be so interesting!
