We'll travel across London from one of the cheapest locations on the London Monopoly board to one of the most expensive, following a westward route of just over six miles, taking us from Whitechapel, through The City and along the River Thames, into Soho, ending in Mayfair and Park Lane.

I'll show you a selection of impressive inter-war architecture simply hiding in plain view, yet often overlooked. I hope to show you some buildings you were not aware of before.

You'll see how the over-arching term of 'Art Deco' covers a variety of styles from fabulously tiled façades, curved glass, intricate brickwork and Jazz Age geometrics to Portland stone simplicity and beautiful carved reliefs.

We’ll look at residential buildings, temples of trade and commerce, imposing offices and places associated with hospitality, travel and entertainment. Clear details of each location will be provided using photos and maps.

After the tour the meeting room will stay open for questions and discussion.

Please note, this is not a video experience – it is a presentation – I talk about the subject whilst showing you slides containing images and maps.
