About this event

The Battle of Waterloo was a turning point in the history of Europe and had a huge impact. This virtual tour looks at how the Battle of Waterloo has been remembered in London. The tour will look at how the news of the battle arrived in London, the stories of those it touched from the soldiers participating, to the civilians who faced devestating news, and those who made money from the battle. We will look at the memorials to the battle, and their sometimes contensious history, and at how London celebrated victory in 1815.

The virtual tour will take the form of a Zoom session where you will be shown pictures of the tour. You will be able to ask questions in the session. You will be sent the Zoom invitation when you sign up.
