Virtual Workshop: Ensuring Trust and Effective Partnership

Virtual Workshop: Ensuring Trust and Effective Partnership

The National Institute for Health and Care Research's Patient Engagement in Clinical Development (PECD) service works with life sciences companies to help them bring patient and public voices into their study development process. We rely on charities to help share these opportunities with their supporters.

We recognise that for charities to confidently and comfortably share PECD PPI opportunities with their supporters, we must ensure our internal processes, including due diligence and payment mechanisms, are clear, efficient, and meet your needs.

We are organising a dedicated virtual workshop to gather your insights directly on these critical areas:

  • Charity Support Needs: What assurance and support do you need from PECD to trust us and feel comfortable sharing opportunities with your community?

  • Improving Recognition Processes: How can we recognise, remunerate and thank charities for sharing these opportunities, ensuring the process is transparent and accessible for your organisation?

  • Defining Due Diligence: What level of vetting do you require for PPI opportunities before passing them on to your public partners?

  • Other Touchpoints: How can NIHR's other services and resources, such as Be Part of Research and the Participant in Research Experience Survey (PRES), best be shared and utilised by charities?
