  • Event lasts 2 hours
  • Ages 16+

Join us for a creative, hands-on session exploring the art of visible mending, where repair becomes an act of care, resistance and self-expression.

Learn simple stitching techniques to mend your worn or loved clothes in ways that celebrate imperfection and tell a story.

We'll be exploring two stitching techniques:

  • Swiss darning, to reinforce worn parts of woollens and for decoration.
  • Needle felting, to cover moth holes of all shapes, sizes and numbers.

All equipment will be provided, but you need to bring an item of clothing to mend.

The workshop is free, but a donation to cover materials and refreshments would be appreciated!

Workshop Leader: Katherine Kearns
