Slowing down to mend is more than just repair, it’s a moment to pause, breathe, and care. It’s good for our clothes, good for the planet, and good for our wellbeing. Plus, there’s something powerful in creating something beautiful that you’re proud to wear.
Bring an old pair of jeans or any item you’d like to repair or embellish. All skill levels welcome, no experience needed.
This workshop is run by @Wearable.CIC a not for profit community led sustainable fashion network in Haringey, North London, focused on things to wear or once worn. We’re building an online network, running shared market stalls and hosting community workshops and events to promote and celebrate sustainable fashion locally.
We are the Haringey Hub for Sustainable Fashion Week 2025, an annual, community led, UK wide initiative that raises awareness about the environmental and social impact of fashion, making sustainable practices accessible to everyone @sustainablefashionweek_uk

🧵 North London Hospice Collaboration
Wearable is excited to be collaborating with North London Hospice.
They are committed to ensuring that unsold clothes go on to have further use and don’t just end up in landfill or rivers in other parts of the world. The organisation has formed a partnership with Sait Recycling in Ghana and various fashion colleges to tackle this.
Our partnership with North London Hospice allows us to give a second life to unsold textiles, such as the fabrics that will be used for our workshops and classes. Look out for items labelled ‘made with care for North London Hospice’ If you buy these, 100% of the sale price will be given back to the charity.

This warm and welcoming community venue includes a café, restaurant and brewery taproom in a community owned building. Enjoy delicious Sri Lankan Caribbean fusion food, local beer and spirits, wine and non alcoholic drinks
