Vision and Stroke: Life after Stroke Open Day

Plus learn about our exciting stroke studies into physical activity, arm function, communication, hearing and more
This event is free to attend, and open to stroke survivors, carers and family members, health and social care professionals (and students) and charity workers.
Activities will include:
• Lectures from vision experts
Workshop topics to include: practicing mindfulness, getting more active and vision training
• Panel Q and A session
• Demonstrations and displays, including simulations, vision screening and more
• Research updates
• Opportunities to get involved
Plus tea, coffee and cakes
Q. What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Parking: although no general parking is available on campus, there is ample space available at nearby car parks.
The University has a small number of disabled parking spaces onsite. If you are a Blue Badge holder and want to find out about these please call (0141) 273 1934.
Q. What time should I arrive?
The event will begin at 1pm, but please come along from 12.30 onwards.You will be able to get a first look at our displays and stands, meet our researchers and sign up for the mini-workshops.
