Event description

Description

When was the last time you spent time really thinking about your goals and dreams; about how you want to feel in your life? Are you feeling stuck in some aspects of your life? Join me for this fun, creative workshop where you will make your own unique VISION BOARD to bring your goals and dreams into focus, a vital first step towards making them reality.

"Nothing happens unless first we dream" - Carl Sandburg

So what is a Vision Board?
A Vision Board is a way of visually representing your aims around any area of your life - career, finances, health, relationships, or something else entirely; a creative way of connecting with your desires for the future. Made up of images, quotes, objects, it can help us to focus on what we want to achieve and how we want to feel.

Why make a Vision Board?
Many of us set goals for how we want to succeed in different areas of our life, but by visualising those things, we're more easily reminded of them. Visualisation works! Olympic athletes have been using it for decades to excel in sport. From sport to business success, visualisation is a great tool for staying focused and achieving your goals. It's all about the Law of Attraction - the ability to attract into our lives whatever we are focusing on.

Why now?
"If not now, when?" We can get so caught up in the busy-ness of our lives that we often go along on auto-pilot, not stopping to consider where we are headed or what we want to achieve. A new season is a new chance to dream, and this workshop takes place at the Autumn Equinox, a time of year to honour the harvest. Whether that be a "real" harvest of things planted or the harvest of personal efforts, this is a time to look back, not just on the past year, but on your life, and to reflect on how far you've come. It is also a powerful time for you to identify the intentions you truly desire to manifest in your life, a time to let go of doubts and fears, to plant new seeds and ideas, and reconsider your goals going forward.

Come along to this workshop and ..

  • have space and time to revisit your goals
  • set your intentions for the year ahead
  • create a vision board to take home
  • have relaxing 'me' time to focus on how you want to feel in your life
  • meet other like-minded individuals

There will be time at the beginning of the workshop for personal reflection, to bring clarity to your intentions for your Vision Board and for your life. Support will be provided through some short activities to achieve this. Before the workshop, you may also want to think whether there is a particular area of your life where you are wanting to bring focus, though this is not a requirement.

So, this workshop offers you time out, a pause in the busy-ness of life, an act of self care, time to reflect on what you want from, and for, your life, and to allow your creativity to find an outlet, in the heart of Lyme Regis by the sea ...

What's included?

All materials for you to make your Vision Board are included. However, if you have something specific you would like to use for your Vision Board (a pin board, scrapbook, etc) please bring it along.

Tea, coffee and cake will be provided.

This workshop is for over 18s only.
