Event description

Description

Following a general introduction to the history and role of the Government Art Collection, this tour offers a chance both to see a selection of works from the collection and the operational side of the organisation, including the workshop and the racking area where works of art are made ready for selection by ministers of state and ambassadors. Works from the collection are lent for display in major government buildings in the UK and around the world, where they help to promote the image of Britain and reflect ts culture and creativity in the visual arts.

Includes glass of white wine and nibbles.

We regret that unfortunately the GAC premises are not suitable for wheelchair users.
