Important information before you visit
Before your visit we need to make you aware of a few changes we’ve made to ensure everyone can enjoy the gallery safely.
- To visit the Streetlife Museum you’ll need to book a ticket in advance, this ticket states your entry time to the museum.
- You can only enter the museum during your allocated entry time, this is to help us manage capacity of the museum in line with government guidelines.
- If you miss your allotted entry time you will need to re-book your ticket, please note: we cannot guarantee ticket availability of entry times on the day.
- Every person visiting the museum must have a ticket, we cannot accept more than one person per ticket.
- During your visit please keep your distance from others and follow the one-way route marked on the floor and any other signage placed around the site.
- All visitors are required to wear face coverings in the gallery, apart from those who are exempt. Not all exemptions are visible so please be understanding of others.
- Act on any guidance our staff may give you and use the hand sanitiser throughout the gallery and wash your hands regularly.
- If you are feeling unwell please stay at home.
Failure to comply with these measures could put other visitors and staff at risk and you may be asked to leave the premises.
Full information on how to book tickets and what to expect from your visit can be found below.

FAQs
How many tickets can I book?
You can book up to six tickets, depending on how many tickets remain for the time slot you wish to book.
Do I need to wear a mask?
All visitors are required to wear face coverings in the gallery, apart from those who are exempt. Not all exemptions are visible so please be understanding of others.
What if I am late for my timeslot?
If you arrive within fifteen minutes of the commencement of your timeslot, you will still be able to visit but your total time inside the site will be reduced accordingly. For example, if your timeslot is at 10am and you arrive at 10:13, you will only have 47 minutes to spend at the site rather than a full hour. If you arrive later than fifteen minutes after the start time of your timeslot we may not be able to guarantee entry to the museum.
Can I book on arrival?
You can only book in advance and online via Eventbrite. You can do this from a PC, laptop, smartphone or other mobile device. You can therefore book tickets on your phone while outside the site providing there are tickets still available for the timeslot you wish to book on to.
What information will you hold about me and other individuals within my party and how will that information be used?
When booking online, you will be asked for the name and telephone number of the person making the booking. All names and telephone numbers will be deleted after 21 days in compliance with the NHS test and trace guidelines. You will also be asked a number of other questions about you and your party. These are optional but the information gathered will help greatly with planning for the future and in demonstrating how important our sites are to both the local community and visitors to the city.
Will there be toilet facilities available?
Toilet facilities will be available at all sites but they will be limited in number to ensure we can regularly clean the facilities. Please ask staff on arrival if you think you may need to use the facilities as once you enter the site’s one way system, you may not turn back if you have passed the only available toilet facilities.
