Event description

Description

One of the largest libraries in the world dedicated to the study of the fine and applied arts, the National Art Library has more than 1.5 million items within its collections. The staff also forms the curatorial department for the study of the national collection of the art, craft and design of the book. This behind-the-scenes tour, led by a curator, explores the rich history of the library and how it operates today, and offers the opportunity to look at a selection of its treasures, from medieval illuminated manuscripts to contemporary book art and graphic novels.
