Where do I park?

NCP Grafton Street Car Park (charges apply) is next door to the Pankhurst Building. Entrance via Nelson Street.  Free 3 hour  car parking  is available a 5 minute walk away on roads leading off Plymouth Grove.

Question 2

I am booked in a certain slot, do I have to be there at that time?

Accepted Answer

Yes please! Please arrive during  your  timed slot. We only have a limited number of visitors we can host in our small building, so if you cant make your half an hour time slot, we may not be able  to fit you in until much later. If you are delayed, please  ring 0161 2735673.

Question 3

Why do you close the door at 3, when you are open until 4pm?

Accepted Answer

Last entry to the museum is 3pm. Doors will close shortly after this time. This is to allow you time to properly explore the museum and not rush your visit.  If you have a ticket booked for 3pm, please arrive by 3.15pm at the latest.

Do you serve food in your tearoom?

Accepted Answer

Our tearoom is pop up and self serve, so we offer hot drinks, cold drinks and snacks (but we do use lovely china!). We do not serve hot food or lunches. A range of restaurants, cafes and shops can be found on Oxford Street, 4 minutes walk away from us.

Question 5

Why do you charge for a visit?

Accepted Answer

The Pankhurst Museum is not currently funded by the government, council or any charitable grants. All profits from the yearly pass you purchase help us to keep the museum open.

Question 6

I am cycling in, is there somewhere to  secure it?

Accepted Answer

There is a cycle rack in the back garden at the Pankhurst Museum. please bring your own lock. Please note the garden gate  is locked at 4pm once the museum has closed.

Question 7

Is the Pankhurst Museum accessible for wheelchair users/buggies?

Accepted Answer

The Pankhurst Museum is on the ground floor of no 62 Nelson Street. Access for wheelchair users  is via a ramp to the back door. Please let us know when you book if someone in your group requires access via the ramp  The  parlour is down 3 steps, wheelchair access to it is via  gravel garden path.
