Description

We are delighted to offer members an exclusive out-of-hours tour of the upgrade works at Holland Park Underground Station, led by the Project Manager, Melissa Reid.

There will also be a short guided walk along a section of track led by Neil Pepper MBE, the London Underground Safety Manager, who will explain the infrastructure and history of tube construction.

There are strict requirements on safety wear and hard hats, high visibility vests, gloves and safety glasses will be provided by TfL. Safety foowear is available is a limited range of sizes and will be allocated on a first come basis.

Due to the hazardous nature of walking on the track we regret we are unable to offer the tour to anyone with any mobility impairment. As the lifts will not be operational there will also be quite a few stairs to climb.

For health and safety reasons the group size is very limited and is open only to WTS London members.

Please note that all members attending this event will be required to adhere to TfL rules and not drink any alcohol in the eight hours prior to the visit.

Members will be responsible for their own transportation home but there might be the possibility of sharing taxis. When registering, If you indicate where you need to get back to, we will let you know if there are any other members heading in the same direction. There is a night bus from Holland Park and parking available in neighbouring roads.
