About this event

Tregovenek, meaning ‘place of hope’, aspires to be a small regenerative farm and gathering space that has the health and wellbeing of the local community, the land and its wildlife at the heart.

Set up as a Community Benefit Society, the Tregovenek team are creating a place where people can connect, learn and work together to build a better, fairer world for generations to come.

Their aim is to be an exemplar of community action to inspire change in how people live, work together, grow food and care for land, believe that how we work together today shapes the future we want to create.

Tregovenek is rooted in strong values and principles which flow into their ways of working. The team have created a demonstration community garden based on permaculture principles for collaborative learning and community growing of organic food. They share land-based and sustainable-living skills and knowledge through weekly work days, workshops and courses and providing volunteering opportunities.

The walk and talk will also inlcude a visit to Pentiddy Community Woods adjacent to Tregovenek.

This visit is suported by the Tamara Landscape Partnership Scheme. The Tamara Landscape Partnership Scheme is a 5-year project that aims to create a brighter future for the Tamar Valley and its communities, by creating opportunities and positive change and is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
