Join us for a discussion about the "Green Well of Scotland's" past, present and future role in the community.
"The Green Well of Scotland", which is the only "Green Well of Scotland" in the world, has many stories and local folklore associated with it. Was it a Healing Well, a Sacred Well? What stories are associated with the "Green Well of Scotland"? and indeed why is it called the "Green Well of Scotland"? Galloway Glens education officer, Jan Hogarth will facilitate a discussion with Well experts. Archaeologist, Claire Williamson, Geographer, Professor David Munro and historian and museums Officer, Peter Hewitt.
"The Green Well of Scotland" is located within the landscape close to Carsphairn, Galloway. We are hoping for a beautiful summer evening.
