About this Event
Please ensure your visiting party is not in contravention of Tier 2 guidelines.
About this Event
The team at King’s College have been working hard to get the Chapel ready to safely re-open our doors under strict new COVID-19 health and safety procedures.
Safety is our highest priority, and the visit around the Chapel has been reviewed to minimise risk whilst not compromising your experience.
While we have worked hard to put these safety measures in place, we all need one another to adhere to the guidelines. If you are planning to visit King’s College Chapel when we re-open please take a moment to read through our customer charter below
NEW COVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES
Customer Charter and Information
Thank you for visiting King’s College Chapel. To help keep you and our members safe during your visit please observe the following measures:
• If you are feeling unwell or have any of the following COVID-19 symptoms: a fever, a new and persistent cough or a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste, please do not enter. Please do not put our students, staff, or other visitors at risk.
• Please remain in your visiting household group and keep children close.
• Please adhere to the government social distancing guidelines. We are allowing free movement once inside the Chapel, and have reduced hourly capacity to help make this possible.
• When walking through the exhibition area, we ask that you help to keep the flow of visitors moving. This area will be operated on a one way system, and we appreciate your support in ensuring visitors are able to flow freely through this area.
• Our team members are always available to help, but please observe the social distance.
• Hand hygiene is essential. Please make use of the hand sanitising stations located at the entrance and exit of the Chapel.
• Make a conscious effort to ensure you and all members of your group avoid where possible touching hard surfaces.
• Face coverings must be worn when visiting the Chapel. If you do not have one, they will be available free of charge at the entrance. Entry into the Chapel will not be permitted without a face covering on, unless you are medically exempt, or are under the age of 11.
• All tickets must be purchased online and in advance. No tickets will be sold in person.
• Please arrive as close to your booked visiting slot as possible. You may be asked to wait a few moments upon arrival if the Chapel occupancy is at capacity, but the team will strive to admit you as soon as possible. Late entry may not be allowed if subsequent time slots are sold out.
• The entry ticket is for the Chapel only. Entry and Exit will be via the North Entrance at Trinity Lane (Clare Gate). Access to the Grounds and the Xu Zhimo stone is temporarily prohibited until further notice.
• Tickets bought through 3rd party sellers will not be accepted. If you have purchased tickets through VisitBritain or VisitEngland please contact them for a refund. You will need to re-book through this channel directly.
• When purchasing merchandise in the Visitor Centre card payments are preferred. Cash will not be accepted in the Chapel when purchasing merchandise, so please use contactless payment methods if possible.
Information for Members , Card and Annual Pass Holders:
• Please 'purchase' tickets under the member category. These are free of charge as per the terms of your membership type. Please note that you will need to show proof of membership at entry. If your card usually allows you to admit 2 guests for free, and you wish to bring guests with you, please ensure you select the correct quantity of tickets. As Cambridge is currently in Tier 2, member guests must be from the same household. The Chapel is classified as an indoor attraction, and as such, mixed households can not interact.
Information for Groups and Tours:
• We apologise, but we are not accepting groups or guided tours at present. Please check our website frequently for future updates.
In purchasing tickets, you agree with all of the arrangements as set out above.
We are confident we have provided a safe environment for your visit but like many others, we are new to COVID-19 health and safety procedures so please let us know if there is anything more you feel we could do to improve your experience with us.
We look forward to your visit!
