Visual Arts Plymouth are pleased to annouce the first forum of the year will be held at Effervescent hosted by Ellie Malone.
With the annoucement of major funding from Arts Council England through the Horizon Programme co-ordinated by Plymouth Culture, VAP aims to deliver a series of forums to help ignite a growing and dynamic cultural sector.
Forum number one, entitled 'How to DIY' aims to build on the can-do attitude and start-up energy beginning to change the cultural landscape in Plymouth. To provide opportunities for individuals and organisations to create links and learn from others experiences. To feel inspired and better prepared on your creative entrepreneurial journey.
VAP will be welcoming a range of successful DIY entrepreneures to share and discuss their creative journeys through the forum.

6.30– Camilla Stacey – Fish Factory
6.45- Martyn and Tom - Unveil'd
7pm- Alistair Gall – DIY Punk/Imperfect Cinema
7.30- Break out groups with the 4 speakers where artists can share ideas, seek advice, guidance and gain knowledge from each other’s experiences. It is expected that people will join with the speaker who they feel they wish to know more about,or that their project fits within a similar framework.
