To help you and your business stand out from the crowd and set you apart from your competitors, it’s important you create a strong visual brand and use it frequently to showcase your story, products, and services. This workshop will provide you with insights, tips and techniques on how to create the right visual brand and creative strategy for you.

The workshop will focus on:

· Understanding your brand identity: How to define what your business stands for and how it translates your values into visual language.

· Building a visual identity with purpose: Choosing imagery, style, and tone that reflect your story, not just what's trendy.

· Creating visual consistency across platforms: How to visually translate your brand from your website to social media, packaging, and even pitch decks.

· Developing your creative direction over time: Tips on evolving your brand visuals as your business grows, without losing its core identity.

About the Speaker

Xavier Buendia is an award-winning, internationally published food, portrait, and documentary photographer and creative director.

Originally from Mexico City, Xavi has lived in Brighton since 2009 and became renowned as a premier professional photographer in the hospitality industry. This included capturing the exquisite nature of fine dining, working with well-known chefs such as Monica Galetti, Tom Aikens, and Douglas McMaster, to photographing inspiring stories for independent restaurants, cafes, bars, vineyards, and drinks brands across Sussex, like Ridgeview Wine Estate and The Ginger Pig. During the pandemic, Xavi expanded his practice beyond food, earning an MA in documentary photography. His work evolved to explore human potential, capturing physical, intellectual, and emotional depth through portraiture, documentary, architecture, and personal branding photography. His ability to strip away stereotypes and present subjects authentically has attracted diverse clients from Connected Brighton to PEBE and The Launchpad Collective.

Xavi mostly works with independent businesses and enjoys the challenge of creating powerful visuals that help small businesses grow. At the heart of Xavi’s business is a belief in craft, community, and meaningful storytelling that focuses on human potential. Rooted in a sustainable, purpose-led philosophy, his work champions quality over quantity, slow creation over fast trends, and connection over likes and clicks. Xavi aims to inspire others to see the value in independent voices and ideas that last.
