Event description
The Visual Communication talks feature leading industry creatives in the fields of visual communication.

About this event

The Visual Communication talks feature leading industry creatives in the fields of visual communication, illustration, animation, graphic design and publishing. This talk will centre around animation, with speaker Mason London.

Come hear Mason London, an illustrator and animator from London, discuss his process and ideas. One of his most recent projects is an animation for the series on E4 called Rap Therapy.

The series encouraged grime artists to talk about mental health challenges they face and presented techniques to deal with these challenges recommended by The Maudsley psychiatric hospital in London. The aim of the series was to help young people who may be suffering from mental health issues but find it hard to engage with existing self help content.

Mason London animated the series featuring grime legend D Double E with background music by Rude Kid, you can see the animation here.

Learn more about visual communication at The School of Art, Architecture and Design, London Metropolitan University on our website and be sure follow us on Instagram.
