Event description
Martin Sykes returns to the Cambridge Business Analysis Community to talk about delivering successful business and digital transformation.

About this Event

We are delighted to welcome back Martin Sykes to the Cambridge Business Analysis Community, to spend an evening learning about the power of Visual Story maps, what they are, and how to use them.

A Visual Story Map is typically a one-page representation of the change or transformation you are planning, constructed to allow you to tell the story of change, enhance engagement and gain commitment.

We think in narratives all day; whether describing our journey to work, sharing news or explaining what someone did, storytelling is how we make sense of the world. Our brains are also amazing visual processors, able to handle massive volumes of information by spotting patterns and inferring meaning. When we bring the two together, we can create maps that help people understand the context and the journey for transformations.

On 24th October Martin will be running a 1 day workshop at the IRM EA & BPM Conference called “ACCELERATE YOUR TRANSFORMATION WITH VISUAL STORY MAPS”. The workshop is based on the techniques described in the book Stories That Move Mountains, and many more insights from the last 7 years.

For our CBAC event, Martin will use the key elements from the workshop to give a solid grounding in the process for creating a Visual Story Map and how to use it in our organisations.
