Event description

Description

Come along to a free workshop to hear how shopping is changing and how Gorton and its businesses, can adapt and thrive

Footfall across high streets and retail centres is continuing to fall by approximately 2% per annum. Whether due to technological, societal and other advances such as the development of out of town shopping, or the continual increase in the adoption of online retailing - even traditionally busy times, like Christmas, are failing to attract shoppers. This decline is also noticeable in district centres such as Gorton, which may be suffering an even faster rate of decline.

- What should you be doing to ensure the vitality and viability of your centre?
- What initiatives or actions are appropriate and achievable in your centre?
- Where do you start or, if you have already begun, are you on the right track?
This is a valuable opportunity for you to contribute to discussions and ensure that your views are taken into account in any forthcoming proposals for Gorton

Capacity at the workshop is limited. Therefore, if you would like to attend, please register as soon as possible.
