VIVA PORTUGAL! An evening of Portuguese wine tasting with food and music
Tue 4 April 2017, 18:00 – 20:00 BST
Join us for a fun evening of Portuguese wine, food and music in SW1. Taste from over 500 Portuguese wines and meet the producers whose love and passion for their wines will be sure to win you over. With unlimited opportunities to taste you will discover some new favourites and learn about the different regions.
The evening will feature pop up Wine 101 sessions from our on-hand Portuguese expert, speed tasting sessions and a chance to taste Critics Choice wines which have been given the seal of approval by our panel of wine experts. Included in the ticket price is a selection of Portuguese snacks*.
To help you understand a bit more about Portuguese wines, we will be hosting speed tasting sessions so that you can find your perfect Portuguese partner. Each producer will try and win you over with a special wine they have chosen. You will be able to taste the wine whilst the producer shares a few snippets about their wines, style and region. After three minutes, each producer will move round to their next speed tasting match and you will be schmoozed with another wine. Once you have finished meeting your round of producers, you will be able to hit the tasting and explore more wines from Portugal.
Speed tasting sessions**:
18:15 - 18:30: Deep dive into reds
18:35 - 18:50: All about Port
18:55 - 19:10: White gems of Portugal
19:15 - 19:30: The wild card session
Make use of our Hashtag printer on the night and take home printouts of the photos you share on Twitter or Instagram with #VivaPortugal.
