Event description

Description

Join the Vivien Leigh Circle in July 2017 to celebrate the remarkable life of Vivien Leigh on the 50th anniversary of her death.

The Vivien Leigh Circle was created in 1968, by a group of UK fans who had the privilege to meet the late British actress and maintain a special friendship until her very last days. Some of the original members are still with us today and have many wonderful stories and anecdotes from the times when they met Ms. Leigh which have never been heard before!. The Circle was been reinstated in 2014 and has now members and followers from all over the world.

We'd like this event to be a memorable celebration, and a fitting tribute to Vivien Leigh, as an unprecedented tribute by the fans to the late British actress.

The event will consist of a series of unique activities that will take place between the 6th and the 11th of July 2017.

The pinnacle of the celebration week will be the Evening Memorial at St. Paul's Church (actorschurch.org/) in Covent Garden, known famously as The Actors Church, on Friday 7th July 2017. The celebration will include extended extracts of Donald Macdonald's play "Letter To Larry" performed by international actress Susie Lindeman (for show info see persophia.net). We have a number of important guests close to Vivien confirmed to attend, making the Memorial an unmissable event.
