About this event

Vlerick Alumni & The Progress Coins Club: Trends in talent management, by Prof. Koen Dewettinck

Check the full programme of the Progress Coins Club Activities for 2021-2022 here!

Attracting, engaging, and retaining strong people is critical for your team and company's success! In this session, we will explore how frontrunners have reshaped their talent management approach to make this happen.

This session will give you the chance to review your own talent management approach, will give inspiration for further improvement, and the opportunity to share best practices with each other.

Koen Dewettinck obtained his Master’s in Organisational Psychology and Ph.D. in Applied Economics at Ghent University. He has been an ICM doctoral fellow and a research fellow at the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, Ohio). Currently, he is a partner, MBA director, and professor of HRM at Vlerick Business School.

Koen is also a director of the Centre for Excellence in Strategic Talent Management - which examines every aspect of employee development and performance in order to enable optimal management.

His research, which focuses on the drivers of employee engagement and performance, has resulted in numerous articles, book chapters, and books. During the past two decades, Koen has been frequently sought speaker on HRM, performance management, and people management topics. During this time, he has worked with and supported hundreds of managers worldwide in making them more effective people managers. His latest book (or rather, toolkit) The Performance Amplifier has been inspired by the many rich discussions throughout that journey.

The Progress Coins Club aims to ignite and kindle a vibrant group of fellow Vlerick Alumni into a community that is interested in Personal, Professional & Team Development in order to survive, prosper and find happiness in a rapidly changing world. This Club provides a unique environment for sharing and leveraging each other’s specific knowledge, expertise and experience, and for staying current with the latest science, maverick insights, and proven practices on these topics.
