Vlogstar Challenge @ The British Youth Council

The Vlogstar Challenge is powered by the Jack Petchey Foundation and Media Trust in partnership with YouTube and Evening Standard. It is an exciting vlogging competition for 16-25 year olds in London and Essex.
This free one-day workshop to equip 16-25 year olds with the skills and confidence to create powerful and compelling vlogs - video blogs using your smartphone.
After participating in the workshop, you can submit your best vlogs into the Vlogstar competition.
150 regional finalists will get a place on a workshop at YouTube HQ London
15 regional winners will get time at YouTube’s state of the art production space
The Vlogstar champion will be announced at a grand final event in June 2016. They will win £2,000 for their organisation, £500 worth of equipment,121 mentoring from YouTube’s experts and use of YouTube’s production space for two week

The training will cover shooting, lighting, editing and sound as well as how to tell a compelling story and present on-camera. Young people will learn how create a YouTube channel and build an audience. They will take part in character building sessions to help them discover and articulate what is important to them in an engaging and positive way
