The RCVS VN Educator Conference 2025 is a dedicated event designed by educators, for educators, providing a unique opportunity to explore key challenges in veterinary nurse education. Developed in response to direct feedback from VN educators, this conference offers time to connect, collaborate, and gain practical insights to enhance both theoretical and practical training.
This year’s theme, ‘Wellbeing and Support: Creating Inclusive and Sustainable Learning Environments’, focuses on student wellbeing, alongside strategies to support learners with disabilities, additional needs, and neurodiverse conditions.
What can you expect from attending the day:

- New insights into effective adjustments to support diverse learners.
- Opportunities to connect with fellow educators and share ideas
Who should attend:
We are looking to invite VN Educators who are involved in the development, delivery and assessment of student veterinary nurses training working at an educational provider.
Programme:
The day will begin with registration from 9:00am and will finish at 4:00pm.

Keynote session:
Reasonable Adjustments to Deliver Impactful Training Sarah Parkhouse RVN & Jude Parry RVN
This keynote presentation will highlight various neurodivergent conditions, exploring both the benefits and challenges they present. It also discusses how training providers can aid learners by offering support within the classroom and developing successful collaboration with practices to implement appropriate reasonable adjustments, ensuring the best outcomes for student veterinary nurses in the workplace.

Participation
We invite participation in each of the sessions, welcoming questions and feedback throughout.
What is expected of me during the session?
The session will be interactive, we will be using slido during the session, so please have your phones at the ready to take part.
Will catering be provided?
Lunch will be provided, with tea and coffee available throughout the day. Please ensure any dietary restrictions are provided when you book your place
Will the session be recorded?
This event will be held live and will not be recorded.
Can you reserve me a place so I can book at a later date?
We are unable to reserve places, tickets are available on a first come, first served basis. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
Is the venue accessible?
There is disability access for both buildings including the lecture theatre.

Free parking will be available on site.
What is the cancellation/refund policy?
Please note that due to administration and event costs we will only refund 50% of the ticket costs, if a cancellation request is received on or before 23:59 GMT on 2 June 2025. After the 2 June there will be no refund.
