Overview
What people say and how they say it provide rich insights into health and well-being. Speech technologies have the potential to provide powerful automated tools in research and clinical settings, from the development of voice and language markers of mental health to scalable data collection and the use of AI scribes in clinical interviews.
Join us for an engaging symposium on Voice and Speech Analysis: Insights and Challenges for Health Research. This event will showcase the latest advances in voice and speech technologies and their applications in health research and in the clinic. Through talks and panel discussions, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of emerging opportunities, innovative approaches and challenges in the field.
This is an opportunity for academics, clinicians and lived experience researchers to explore how advances in voice and speech analysis are supporting health research and to connect with others interested in working at the intersection of these fields.
The event will be hosted on Wednesday 3 December 2025, from 12-5pm in the Judy Dunn Seminar Room, Social Genetic and Developmental Psychiatry Centre, Denmark Hill Campus, SE5 8AF.
