Do I need any performance experience?

This is a workshop to build on your current skillset and increase knowledge of the industry. Whilst previous performance experience may be helpful, the voiceover trend is currently 'real voices'. We will be looking at how to market and present your voice.

What do I need to prepare?

Accepted Answer

There is nothing to prepare for the session. But have a think about what your vocal brand is. Where could you see yourself working? Who is currently achieving the work you want and why?

What do I need to bring to the session?

Accepted Answer

Everything you may need for the session will be provided.

Question 4

Do I need to perform in front of others?

Accepted Answer

The workshop does contain a practical element. We endeavour to create a safe and comfortable environment in which to try new things. The class sizes are purposely small so everybody has an opportunity to play and explore their voice. However, it is not mandatory to perform in the session.

Question 5

As this is an under 18s event, are parents expected to remain at the event?

Accepted Answer

Parents are kindly asked to drop off and pick up their children but are not required to stay at the event. However they are very welcome to do so.

Question 6

Are all adults working at the event dbs checked?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Martin, who will be running this class does indeed have an up to date dbs check and currently teaches at a number of UK Drama Schools and Universities.
