Join us for a practical workshop with an acclaimed voice artist Shaun Mendum. Shaun brings a unique actor-focused approach to voiceover — helping you unlock truthful reads, stand out in auditions, and bring your best self to every script. Shaun has hosted a number of masterclasses around the world. He is also a creative producer, having written and directed for BBC4, and is currently developing an audio drama anthology. Shaun’s work includes Baldur’s Gate III, Wuthering Waves, The Bazaar, The Last Epoch and more.
In this session you will get the chance to sharpen your VO skills and boost your confidence behind the mic.
What will the session cover?
Trusting your instincts – Using your imagination, and trusted techniques to produce quality characters under time constraints.
Character development– Exploring voice, physicality, and emotional depth.
Script analysis – Breaking down text to understand tone, intent, and subtext.
Working with direction – Adapting quickly and making bold choices.
Recording in front of a mic – Applying everything you've learned, with personalised feedback to refine your performance.
You will be emailed several scripts and will be required to pick one to work on.
