About this event

What does solidarity action look like two years into a genocide? In the next in our series of solidarity events, Voices For Palestine, this teach-in session will explore how to take workplace action in support of Palestine.

The event is for you if you want to:

  • Be inspired by real examples of effective organising and solidarity practice
  • Learn how we can all take action within our organisational and work settings
  • Take away clear ideas for your next steps
  • Connect with others seeking community in their solidarity efforts.

We will be joined by:

This event is a fundraiser for Palestine Psycho-social Counselling Centre for Women (PSCCW), a Palestinian women’s organisation providing psychosocial counselling, humanitarian aid, advocacy and social support. Suggested donation amounts are £5 for lower income participants and £10 for higher income participants. All money raised will go direct to PSCCW in their work assisting Palestinian women from Gaza, as well as those residing in the West Bank, who have been affected by the aggression that began on October 7, 2023. Many of these women are facing severe health challenges, cut off from their families, with no means of communication. We will share the total amount raised after the event.

Speaker information:

Louise Regan has visited Palestine many times leading delegations for her union and for the Palestine Solidarity Campaign. She regularly speaks on national and international platforms on the situation in Palestine and is a long time campaigner for justice for the Palestinian people.

No Tech For Apartheid is a worker-led campaign of Google and Amazon workers organizing against the companies' $1B Project Nimbus cloud computing contract with the Israeli government and military.

Khawla Al-Azraq is a women’s rights activist, born in a refugee camp, and currently serves as the Director of the Psychosocial Counselling Center for Women (PSCCW). A mother of four and a former detainee, Khalwa draws on her lived experience and resilience to bring a unique perspective to her work and a deep understanding of the struggles faced by Palestinian women.

Please note: the organisers will not tolerate any abuse or discriminatory behaviour in the space and any participants engaging in this way will be removed from the event.
