Event description

Description

Baby it's getting cold outside, but here at VOLO's yoga brunch club it's cosy and zen-like. Join us at the beautiful 42 Acres in Shoreditch for a revitalising yoga practice, led by the amazing Sanchia Legister. Blow away any cobwebs from the night before and start Sunday morning right with an hour of Soulful Sunday Vinyasa Flow. Along with her killer playlist, she'll help us reset and ground, move mindfully, find the breath and make space in the body.

Afterwards, we'll gather together around big family-style tables and tuck into a delicious, comforting smorgsabord of vegan brunch-y delights. Including fluffy mini pancakes, a Mexican-inspired feast of sweetcorn fritters, mushrooms and tomato on sourdough, baked beans (but not as you know them) and smashed avocado. Plus indulgent hot chocolate 'shots'.

You'll leave feeling stretched, soothed and nourished, hopefully with some new friends too.

Can't wait to see you there!

P.S. All levels welcome, and yoga mats are provided :)

"Had a great laugh with what first started as complete strangers! Enjoyed a delicious vegan meal as the only non-vegan at my side of the table!" - Keltoum

"Great food, great atmosphere, great people...I had a wonderful time and can't wait for VOLO's next event" - Lauren

About us:

Rachel Hearne
Rachel is an event manager, usually found organising tech conferences in London and further afield. Since going vegan almost two years ago, she has found an unwavering passion for roasted cauliflower and the entire vegan range in Pret. She is an enthusiastic but amateur yogi and cyclist, and a keen traveller.

Sanchia Legister
Sanchia is a well known member of the global urban running movement with half, full and ultra marathon medals under her belt. She has over 10 years of drama experience (directing and facilitation) and is now a qualified yoga teacher and known for her popular underground Yogahood classes.

After feeling frustrated with the lack of diversity in yoga settings and tight hamstrings, she decided to do something about it and make it her mission to open up the yoga and wellness scene and created, Yogahood. She now brings her signature afro, big smile and good vibes to the mat, with a killer playlist to help you find freedom, space and unapologetic movement, in the hope of bringing yoga to the people.

Chloe Hunt
Chloe has been cooking professionally for over 8 years, and has worked most recently running a catering company in Battersea. Now freelance, she works in a range of cafés and restaurants, as well as being a private chef both here and abroad. Although not currently vegan, Chloe supports veganism as a dietary choice, and enjoys embracing food that is naturally vegan, rather than seeking out meat substitutes. Chloe particularly enjoys cooking Spanish food, and finds that Asian food offers some of the most diverse and interesting vegan options.
