Voluntary Action Camden’s AGM.

Arlington Conference Centre.
220 Arlington Road, London NW1 7HE.
Resilience is being determined and resourceful when all around there is crisis and adversity. Resilience is being creative and enduring when everyday is a challenge. Come and take part in a debate on what the role of the voluntary and community sector is, or could be, in building resilience and the support that people need to make things happen. Ciaran Price, Director of Policy (Directory of Social Change) will give a national perspective on resilience.
Ossie Stuart will then talk about the setting up of Camden Disability Action and future plans. Paster Noel will speak about the role of small BME faith groups followed by Clover Crumbie and Roy Parks from the Nubian Users Forum with some thoughts on the mental health challenges faced by black and minority ethnic groups. John Boyle will bring the case studies to an end by outlining the work of South Hampstead and Kilburn Community Partnership.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions and contribute to the discussion. Refreshments will follow with an opportunity to meet up with old and make new friends. Also keep a look out for the information stalls that will be of interest.
